Arilla Delivers Goal in 63rd Minute
Miami, Fla. -- Battling through several weather delays, Creighton Men's Soccer earned a 1-1 draw at Florida International on Sunday, August 24.
After Sunday's result, the Bluejays are 0-1-1 this season. The Panthers meanwhile moved to 1-0-1.
Florida International took a 1-0 edge in the 11th minute (10:40) as Scott Neil blasted in a goal from 12-yards.
Creighton took advantage of a two-man edge as FIU earned red cards at 58:02 and 61:47. Miguel Arilla fielded a pass from Todd Vromant in the 63rd minute (62:33) to knot the score at 1-1 from 15-yards out.
The Bluejays closed the game with the shot advantage, 11-10, while each squad earned three corners.
Creighton returns to action on Friday, August 29 in a road match at Michigan. The contest is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. (CT).
