
Women’s Tennis Drops Regular Season Finale at #28 Wichita State, 7-0

WICHITA, Kan. – The Creighton women's tennis team suffered a 7-0 loss at No. 28 Wichita State on Friday night in the Bluejays regular season finale in Wichita, Kan.
The loss dropped the Bluejays to 13-6 on the year, while the Shockers improved to 18-3 overall with their 16thconsecutive victory.
Wichita State wasted no time jumping out to an early lead with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles positions. Kristina Kudryavtseva and Theodora Chantava gave the Shockers the early edge, claiming a 6-1 win on court No. 2, before Anne Knuettel and Vichitraporn Vimuktananda clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win at the No. 3 doubles spot.
WSU remained in control throughout singles play, clinching the overall dual with straight set victories on all six singles courts.
Creighton will return to action on Thursday, April 17 in the 2026 BIG EAST Championships at the Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center in Cayce, S.C.
