Bio
2013 (Junior at Creighton)
- Kottich appeared in four games, including earning the start behind the plate in the Bluejays’ March 31 game with Omaha.
- Cody drew a walk in his first plate appearance for the Bluejays on March 12. He finished the game, 0-for-1, in the Bluejays’ 17-2 win at Southeast Missouri State.
2011-2012 (Garden City CC)
- Kottich appeared in 58 games for Garden City CC as a sophomore and 47 in 2011.
- Cody finished with a .338 average with 69 hits in 204 at-bats in 2012. He recorded 11 doubles, five triples, 50 RBI and 48 runs scored.
- The Bellevue native hit .318 with 47 hits, 29 RBI and 28 runs scored as a freshman.
- Kottich led the Busters to the Jayhawk Conference Championship in 2012.
2007-10 (Bryan High School)
- Cody earned a combined nine letters at Bryan HS in baseball (four), football (three) and wrestling (two).
- Kottich was named the Bears’ MVP and the Bryan HS Athlete of the Year following his senior season.
- Kottich also earned All-Nebraska First Team, finishing the year with a .500 average. Cody scored 29 runs, blasted 14 doubles and drove in 22.
- A strong defensive presence behind the plate, Kottich was praised by Bryan head coach Mike DeMilia.
