- Wiedeman saw action in 18 games in his first year at Creighton, including three starts.
- The Navy transfer earned his first start as a Bluejay, delivering an RBI on a safety squeeze in Creighton’s 3-1 win on March 15.
- Wiedeman appeared in back-to-back games, on April 5 and
- April 6 for the first time as a Bluejay, coming on as a defensive replacement on April 5 to ignite a game-winning rally in the ninth against North Dakota, 4-3. The following day the Kansas native was 1-for-3 with an RBI in an 8-6 win.
- David delivered a pinch-hit single in the ninth at St. John’s during Creighton’s 15-5 win on May 11.
2012-2013

- Started 99 games in two seasons at the Naval Academy.
- His 48 starts in 2011 were the most by a Navy freshman since 2008.
- David closed his sophomore season with a .253 average, collecting 44 hits and 22 RBI. Wiedeman scored a combined 35 runs in two seasons.
- Started his collegiate career with a hit in each of his first five games, producing eight RBIs over the span.
- Wiedeman recorded three RBIs twice as a freshman; vs. North Carolina A&T (2/18) and at Georgetown (3/28).
- Navy’s starting shortstop for two seasons, Wiedeman committed
- 21 errors to post a .949 fielding percentage (408 chances).

- Wiedeman earned two letters at Rockhurst High School where he helped the team to a district, sectional and regional championship as a junior in 2010.
- Named team captain as a senior, David earned All-State honors as a senior.
