2022 (Junior)
- Cowdrey did not play in 2022, missing significant time with three elbow surgeries.
- Cowdrey made seven appearances out of the bullpen in his first year with the Bluejays, conceding five runs in 3.1 innings pitched with six strikeouts and no walks.
- Ryan did not allow any baserunners or runs in four of his first five appearances.
- In a tight game against Omaha on March 7, Cowdrey struck out both Maverick batters he faced in relief.
- Cowdrey made four relief appearances for the Dons in 2000, giving up just one hit and no runs across 3.2 innings pitched with seven strikeouts.
- Ryan came out of the bullpen six times as a freshman in 2019, pitching 4.1 total innings.
- On March 3, 2020, Ryan tossed a career high 1.2 hitless innings with two punch outs in a win over Mount St. Mary’s.
- Cowdrey was a West Coast Conference All-Academic Honorable Mention in 2020.
- A four-year letter winner, Cowdrey tallied 118 strikeouts in 115+ innings pitched for the Sabercats.
- As a freshman Ryan notched a 4-0 record and 2.26 ERA with 21 punch outs in 21.2 innings of work.
- Across his career Cowdrey collected second team all-region, first team all-region honorable mention, and Arizona High School Baseball All-Star honors.
- Ryan was a multi-sport athlete at Saguaro, winning three state championships in three years with the Sabercats varsity football team.
- Favorite baseball memory is walking off against Seton Hall in the 2021 BIG EAST tournament.
- Hobbies outside of baseball include cooking and spending time with teammates.
- “I chose Creighton because the coaching staff here made me feel at home and gave me a feeling that this is the place I was meant to be and the place where I would finish out my career. I can’t imagine being anywhere else.”
