- Carden did not play in the 2022 season after suffering an ACL injury.
- Zach used his redshirt option during the 2021 season.
- Carden was a four-year letterwinner and two-year captain for the Red Knights baseball team but was only able to play two seasons as an underclassman due to an ACL injury as a junior and the COVID-19 pandemic during his senior year.
- As a sophomore, Zach earned All-Metro West Conference and team MVP honors after batting .333 with a .542 slugging percentage and 17 RBI while also throwing 27.0 innings on the mound with 27 punch outs and just two earned runs allowed.
