- Creighton’s opening day starter as a sophomore, Elman closed the season with 17 starts and one relief appearnce.
- On opening day, Elman allowed one earned run in five innings at Arkansas-Little Rock on Feb. 14, collecting a no-decision.
- Taylor notched his first victory as a Bluejay with a six-inning effort at Central Arkansas on March 11, allowing just two runs.
- Held Nebraska to one run in three innings of work as the mid-week starter agaisnt the Huskers on March 20.
- Elman set a career-high with seven innings in Creighton’s 13-4 win over Georgetown on April 12. He allowed four runs on 10 hits, needing 99 pitches in the outing to earn his second win.
- Despite recording a no-decision, Taylor delivered his best outing of 2014 as he limited Butler to one run on five hits and one walk in seven innings on April 26.
- Elman had another strong start for Creighton, limiting Seton Hall to three runs on four hits in the Bluejays’ 4-3 win on May 3 in 10 innings.

- Elman appeared in 13 games as a freshman, including two starts.
- In his first 10 relief outings, Elman allowed just two runs (one earned) over 12.1 innings.
- Taylor earned his first start on March 10 against Milwaukee. Elman allowed five runs on seven hits in 3.1 innings.
- He tossed a scoreless inning of relief in the Bluejays’ 6-4 win on April 2.
- Taylor pitched two scoreless frames against Kansas on April 16, helping the Bluejays earn a 12-4 win over the Jayhawks.
- He surrendered his first run in relief on May 14 against Nebraska, giving up two runs (one earned) in 1.1 innings.
- Taylor shined out of the bullpen for the Bluejays with two innings of scoreless ball in Creighton’s 6-3 win over Missouri State on May 18.

- Taylor helped lead Creighton Prep to the Nebraska State
- Championship in 2012, posting a 10-1 record. He closed the season with a 1.09 ERA, recording 75 strikeouts in 84 innings.
- Elman was equally a threat at the plate, hitting .440 with a .637 slugging percentage, with 40 hits and 41 RBI in 2012.
- Following the season, Taylor was named to the All-Nebraska Class A First Team.
