Martinez is a power hitter from Buford, Ga., who has spent the previous two seasons at Boston College. The rising junior ranked second on the team with a .313 batting average in 2026, when she racked up 40 hits, including eight doubles, eight home runs and 27 RBI in 48 games.
That all came after Martinez was named to Softball America’s Preseason Freshman watchlist in 2025 and finished her rookie campaign with 11 hits, four doubles, eight walks and six RBI in 25 games.
As a prep at Buford High, Martinez was a four-time First Team All-Region and All-County selection, guiding her Wolves squad to back-to-back Georgia High School Association State Softball Championships as a sophomore and junior. In addition, Martinez claimed First Team All-State honors twice, closing out her career with a .375 batting average and a .694 slugging percentage.
