The Matthew David Snyder Memorial Athletic Endowed Scholarship

The Matthew David Snyder Memorial Athletic Endowed Scholarship Fund has recently been established by Patrick White in memory of his late husband – Matt Snyder B.S., B.A. '91. Patrick and the Creighton Athletic Development Office worked diligently together to draft the terms of the endowed scholarship to reflect Matt's true passion in supporting Creighton student-athletes. The endowment will help fund scholarship costs for qualified Bluejay student-athletes who demonstrate the need for financial aid in order to continue their education.
Matt's passion for Creighton Athletics was unquestioned. "Matt was a die-hard Creighton sports fan, traveling the country supporting his beloved Bluejays." Patrick said. "His booming voice would often be heard cheering them on to victory. What Matt cherished most was the close bonds he formed with his Creighton family."
The endowment was established in tribute to Matt Snyder as a way to share his passion and commitment to Creighton University while supporting student-athletes academically and athletically. Through this endowment, his husband hopes to touch the lives of student-athletes by helping them achieve their goals and ambitions while at Creighton. "This Memorial Athletic Endowment Scholarship would mean so much to Matt as it is a small way to give back to the University that gave so much to him," Patrick said.
"Matt was an incredible supporter and friend of Creighton Athletics and we will miss him dearly," said Adrian Dowell, Assistant Athletic Director of Development. "We are so thankful to have known him and we thank Patrick for his generosity by endowing a scholarship benefiting Bluejay student-athletes. This is an incredible way to remember Matt and his passion for Creighton Athletics."
