Creighton to take on Nebraska, Drake, and Wisconsin-Green Bay this weekend
LINCOLN, Neb. and DES MOINES, Iowa — The Creighton women's tennis team will hit the road for a trio of matches this weekend, taking on Nebraska, Drake, and Wisconsin-Green Bay.
WEEKEND SCHEDULE
Friday, Feb. 5 - Creighton at Nebraska - Lincoln, Neb. - 3:00 p.m.
Saturday, Feb. 6 - Creighton at Drake - Des Moines, Iowa - 2:00 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 7 - Creighton vs. Wisconsin-Green Bay - Des Moines, Iowa - 8:00 a.m.
GETTING UP TO SPEED
The Bluejays (0-1) opened their spring season last weekend by playing host to Missouri State.
Creighton picked up wins at No. 2 and No. 3 Doubles to earn the doubles point versus Missouri State, with the duos of Claire Embree and Sam Anderson, and Katherine Nelsen and Karlin Naslund finding the win column.
Sophomore Darby Rosette won at No. 3 Singles for the Bluejays, defeating Ekaterina Donetskova, 6-4, 6-1.

SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
- Nebraska (3-0) will enter Friday's match riding a three-match win streak after defeating South Dakota State (Jan. 22), Eastern Michigan (Jan. 29), and Air Force (Jan. 31). All three victories came at home.
- Drake (2-2) opened the season with a loss at Kansas (Jan. 18), but went 2-1 at home last weekend, defeating Omaha (Jan. 29) and North Dakota (Jan. 29), but falling to Iowa State (Jan. 31). The Bulldogs will take on Wisconsin Green-Bay on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 9:30 a.m., before taking on Creighton later in the afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
- Wisconsin-Green Bay (0-1) began the season with a 6-1 loss to Cardinal Stritch (Jan. 29) in Green Bay. The Phoenix will face Omaha on Friday, Feb. 5, and Drake on Saturday, Feb. 6 before facing Creighton on Sunday, Feb. 7.
