Creighton vs. Nebraska
Huskers lead, 87-42-2
Less than an hour apart, Creighton and Nebraska are familiar foes on the baseball field. Nebraska holds an 87-42-2 series edge on Creighton.
When playing in Omaha, the Huskers hold a 50-15-1 edge over the Bluejays. While in Lincoln Nebraska's edge is 37-27-1. Â
Coach Servais is 12-24 versus Nebraska in his career. Â

Â
Scouting the Huskers (2016: 16-7, 3-0 Big Ten)
Like the Bluejays, Nebraska stumbled out of the gate in 2016. The Huskers got off to a 1-4 start, but have taken 13 of their last 14. Nebraska enters Tuesday's contest on a seven game win streak and are 8-1 at home.
While the Bluejays are built on defense and pitching, Nebraska likes to swing the sticks. The Huskers are hitting a combined .297 this season and boast 26 home runs as a squad.
Ben Miller (.385) and Ryan Boldt (.343) lead Nebraska, yet seven hitters hold a .300 average or better.
Going to the bump on Tuesday is Max Knutson, a southpaw with a 9.82 ERA. Do not make the mistake of thinking the Huskers are weak on the mound, consider that 13 of the 22 outs that Knutson has recorded this season have come via strikeout.
Bluejays Enjoying the Double Scoops
In each of the last two weekends the Bluejays have watched their Saturday contest washed away by rain. Fearing travel constraints on each of the following Sundays, Creighton swept a doubleheader from North Dakota and Stony Brook with efficiency.
Against the Fighting Hawks the Bluejays needed just 3:55 to sweep North Dakota. Last weekend the Bluejays took down Stony Brook in 4:10 combined for the doubleheader sweep.
The Seawolves Got Just One Chance
In 25 innings over three games against Stony Brook (March 25-27), the Creighton pitching staff allowed the Seawolves to cross the plate in just one inning.
The Bluejays surrendered four runs on March 25 in the fourth inning and did not allow another run throughout the series.
Back-to-Back Shutouts
Creighton not only swept Stony Brook in a doubleheader on March 27, the Bluejays held the Seawolves without a run.
The last time Creighton posted back-to-back shutouts was also in a doubleheader on April 9, 2008 over North Dakota.
