Poor weather in South Orange ends series prematurely
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. -- Cold temperatures and winds gusting over 50 miles per hour in South Orange, N.J., have led to the cancellation of game three of the series between Creighton and Seton Hall Softball on Sunday.
The game will not be made up.
The teams split a doubleheader on Saturday, with Seton Hall winning the opener 4-3 before Micaela Whitney's no-hitter in Creighton's 3-0 win in the nightcap.
The split leaves Creighton with a 19-12 overall record, and a 3-1 BIG EAST mark, good for second place.
Creighton returns to action with a non-conference doubleheader on Wednesday at South Dakota, with first pitch in Vermillion scheduled for 1 pm.
