Lawrence, Kan. -- Playing its first exhibition match of the 2016 season, the Creighton women's soccer team fell to Kansas, 3-0, on Friday, Aug.12 .
Kansas jumped out to a 1-0 lead in 24th minutes, capitalizing on a penalty kick call. Grace Hagan pushed the PK past Bluejay keeper Erin Scott.
The Jayhawks added a second goal in the first half as Katie McClure intercepted a goal kick to deliver an unassisted tally in the 39th minute.
Kansas added a third goal in the 50th minute, with Ashley Pankey redirecting a pass from Hagan from 10 yards out.
The Jayhawks battled Butler to a 2-2 tie in a match earlier this week, closed out its exhibition season at 1-1-0. Creighton will host Hastings in its final exhibition match on the preseason on Sunday, Aug. 14 at 6:00 pm in Morrison Stadium.
