Creighton Men's Soccer Holds Annual Blue-White Scrimmage

Omaha, Neb. -- The Blue and White squads held each other scoreless through 80 of action, but it was the White team that prevailed 3-1 in a shootout during the Creighton men's soccer Blue-White Scrimmage on Saturday, Aug. 13.
Neither team found the back of the net before Stefan Wutte converted the first attempt by the White squad during the shootout. Luke Haakenson and Bryce Gibson also made penalty kicks for the White team, while Joel Rydstrand contributed the lone tally for the Blue squad.
The Blue team notched 26 shots before the shootout, and forced newcomer Alex Kapp to make six saves. The White squad recorded only five shots, including one on goal late in the second half.
The Bluejays return to the pitch on Wednesday, Aug. 17 as they host Missouri State in an exhibition match. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
