Scouting No. 10 Creighton (6-1-2, 2-0-0 BIG EAST)
The Bluejays are unbeaten in their last seven matches, closing the month of September 5-1-2 with their lone loss at No. 2 Clemson (Sept. 2).
Since a 1-1 tie against UNO (Sept. 5), Creighton has outscored its opponents 17-2, scoring three or more goals during each of its five victories.
Riggs Lennon is tied for the BIG EAST lead and tied for sixth in Division I with eight goals this season.
As good as Creighton has been offensively, the Bluejays have also had a stingy defense.
Goalkeeper Alex Kapp has five shutouts and is tied for second in the nation in save percentage (.909) while allowing only four goals through nine matches.
Creighton returned five starters and 10 letterwinners from last year's squad that ended the season in the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament and led the country with 19 wins. Â
Scouting St. John's (5-2-2, 1-0-1 BIG EAST)
The Red Storm secured their highest win total since the 2013 season (5) with a 2-0 victory over Saint Joseph's on Tuesday night.
Filippo Ricupati leads St. John's with five goals, while Harry Cooksley paces the team with five assists.
Sophomore goalkeeer Andrew Withers has allowed only two goals, made 20 saves and is tied (with Kapp and West Virginia's Jose Santos) for second in Division I with a .909 save percentage. He is 4-1-2 with four shutouts.
Series History vs. Red Storm
Creighton leads the all-time series against St. John's 4-2-0.
The Bluejays defeated the Red Storm 2-1 last season. Creighton is 3-0 against the Johnnies in BIG EAST conference matches, including the program's first conference match as a member of the BIG EAST.
All six matches in the series have been decided by one goal with two matches decided in overtime.
Last Time Out
Mitch LaGro, Noah Franke and Luke Haakenson each scored their first goals of the season as the Bluejays defeated previously unbeaten and untied Loyola-Chicago 3-0 on Tuesday night.
LaGro and Haakenson's goals were also the first of their career goals.
The Ramblers entered the contest with only two goals allowed before the Bluejays scored twice during the first 30 minutes.
Alex Kapp recorded his fifth clean sheet of the season and made five saves.

Riggs Lennon tied a school single-match record and became the sixth Creighton player to score four goals in a match when he scored all four of the Bluejays' goals again DePaul (Sept. 24).
Mike Tranchilla was the last Bluejays to score four goals (Nov. 9, 2001).
Creighton has had an individual score four goals seven different times, including twice by Keith DeFini (1990, '91).

Lennon, Kapp Claim BIG EAST Honors
Riggs Lennon's four-goal performance on Saturday helped him earn his first BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week honor.
His four-goal performance tied a BIG EAST record for goals in a league match.
Lennon scored seven goals during a fourmatch stretch, while playing only 221 of 380 possible minutes.
He has eight goals this season through nine matches, is tied for the BIG EAST lead and is tied for sixth in Division I.
Alex Kapp tied a Morrison Stadium single-match record for most saves by a Creighton player with nine and earned BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week honors.
Kapp ranks second in Division I in save percentage (.909).
National Recognition for Virginia Transfer
Riggs Lennon was named the Top Drawer Soccer Player of the Week on Tuesday and claimed a spot on the TDS Team of the Week for the second consecutive week.
He is the first Creighton player to earn national player of the week status since Fabian Herbers claimed College Soccer News National Player of the Year recognition last season (Sept. 14). Â
Lennon also earned a spot on this week's College Soccer News National Team of the Week.
He has eight goals this season to lead the BIG EAST. Lennon had seven goals during three seasons at Virginia before transferring to Creighton for his final season of eligibility.
Kapp On Goal
Senior Alex Kapp notched his fifth shutout as a Bluejay against No. 12 Loyola-Chicago on Tuesday night. He had two clean sheets all of last season in 10 starts at Boston College.
Kapp now has 12 career shutouts through 45 career starts in goal.
He also has 40 saves through nine matches this season, while allowing four goals in 850Â minutes of action. Kapp's .909 save percentage is tied for second in Division I.
The senior did not allow a goal for 286 minutes and 33 seconds; a span that streched from the 13th minute of Creighton's match against UNO (Sept. 5) to the 10th minute of the first BIG EAST contest against Seton Hall (Sept. 17).
Kapp Ties Morrison Stadium Record
Alex Kapp tied a Morrison Stadium record for the most saves by a Creighton individual in a single match with nine on Sept. 21 against Denver.
Alex Bolowich also recorded nine saves at home against No. 14 Old Dominion on Sept. 14, 2012.
Kapp's nine saves also matched his career high.
Rare Second-Half Goal Against
Creighton surrendered its first second-half goal of 2016 on Sept. 24.
DePaul's Erik Rodriguez scored during the 75th minute to cut the Bluejay lead to 2-1.
The last second-half goal Creighton allowed before Saturday was against Akron during the 2015 NCAA quarterfinal round.
