Dr. Hoos-Thompson establishes scholarship fund to offer assistance to Creighton female student-athletes
The Creighton Lady Jays Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by Dr. Shannon Hoos-Thompson, BS'99, MD'03 and Brian P. Thompson to offer scholarship assistance to Creighton female student-athletes who participate in athletic programs that are underfunded in scholarships.
As a former softball team member, Shannon experienced firsthand the impact scholarship support has on Creighton student-athletes. Because of these experiences, Shannon and Brian look forward to giving back by assisting current and future female student athletes with this scholarship.
Â
Shannon also looks to other former Creighton student-athletes and teammates to join her effort to increase scholarship support for current athletes.
This scholarship will help provide Creighton women student-athletes the ability to share the same experiences, form lifelong friendships, and develop leadership skills just as Shannon did as a member of the softball team.
By contributing to The Creighton Lady Jays Endowed Athletic Scholarship Fund, you are helping Creighton University educate student-athletes in a way not possible without your support.
Each year the scholarship will be awarded to a female student-athlete who is a valuable member of Creighton while competing in sport, in the classroom, and in the community. The scholarship will be given to a female member of a team that is underfunded in scholarships.
