Series History: Creighton trails Marquette, 3-4-1
Creighton has had a measure of success against the Golden Eagle, going 2-0-1 against Marquette before the two teams faced off as members of the BIG EAST. However, since the two teams became conference foes Marquette owned the series until a 3-2 Creighton win in overtime last season. The Bluejays are 1-3-0 against the Golden Eagles in Milwaukee.

Scouting Marquette (10-6-1, 3-4-0 BIG EAST)
Easily one of the best teams in the BIG EAST during non-conference play at 7-2-1, Marquette has struggled during conference action. The Golden Eagles are just 3-4-0, including a surprising 1-2-0 at home.
Offensively Marquette is led by Darian Powell's five goals and 14 points, while Carrie Madden is just a step back with four goals and 11 points.
Defensive has been the key to Marquette's BIG EAST season. In the Golden Eagles' three conferences wins, Marquette has shutout its opposition. By contrast the Golden Eagles have allowed 11 goals in their four losses, an average of 2.75 goals per loss.
Goalkeeper Maddy Henry has played the bulk of the minutes with 1527:29, all but 24:54 this season. Henry has limited opponents to just 1.12 goals per game, nabbing an
impressive 84 saves. In BIG EAST play, Henry has played every second with 31 saves.
It all Comes Down to the Final Two
With two matches remaining in the regular season, the Bluejays are in a win or go home situation. Georgetown, Butler and Xavier have already clinched spots in the BIG EAST Tournaement, while Providence is all but assured a spot with 13 points. Marquette and St. John's enter Sunday holding the final two spots with nine points, but if Creighton can pull off a win against the Golden Eageles the Bluejays would climb to eight points.
