Women's Golf Finishes 15th at ORU/SFA Spring Break Shootout

Sarah Eversman tied for 38th place to lead CU
DALLAS, Texas -- The Creighton women's golf team placed 15th at the ORU/SFA Spring Break Shootout, which wrapped up on Wednesday.
The 54-hole event was held at Trophy Club and played to 6,180 yards and a par of 72.
Eastern Kentucky won the meet by 11 strokes with an 895 total. The Colonels had Amanda Lindahl and Sofie Levin share medalist honors in the event with matching 218's. Northern Colorado was second with a 906 total in the event, which featured 16 teams and 88 golfers
Junior Sarah Eversman led Creighton with a tie for 38th place. She shot rounds of 81, 76 and 79 to tally a 236 total.
Next on the team was a tie for 66th place by sophomore Caroline Lake. Lake made improvements each day, starting with an 85 before recording an 81 on Tuesday and a 79 today for a 245 total.
Senior Kelsey Petersen (85-81-83=249) placed 72nd, one stroke and one place better than sophomore Sydney Gillespie (86-79-85).
Rounding out the Bluejay contingent was senior Annie Pearson, who shot 87, 86, 84 for a 257 total to tie for 77th place.
Creighton returns to the course on March 27-28 at the HBU Husky Invitational in Missouri City, Texas.
