Scouting Nebraska (15-10-1, 2-0-1 Big Ten)
Despite starting the season just 2-6, Nebraska has righted its ship of late. The Huskers are 7-2-1 in their last 10, including two wins in the opening series of Big Ten play last weekend.
Hitting just .260 as a team, Nebraska will still be a force to deal with at the plate. The quartet of Angello Altavilla (.345), Scott Schreiber (.320), Jake Meyers (.298) and Mojo Hagge (.284) have been strong thoughout the season. Meyers led Nebraska in its series with Indiana, delivering five hits in 12 at-bats (.417).

Behind Lacy, Creighton's offense scored seven runs. Lacy's ERA was 1.17 for the outing. He tossed 105 pitches in his seven-plus innings on the mound.

Young Bluejays Beginning to Come Together
After stumbling out of the gate (1-11), Creighton has begun to find their over the last ten contests. With seven victories and just three losses, the Bluejays have certainly played better. The most two most telling areas have been improved defense and plate discipline.
In the first 12 games Creighton committed 19 errors and walked just 24 times. Over the last 10 contests the Bluejays have six errors and 31 walks.
Emodi Embodying Iron Man Play Behind the Plate
Sophomore Michael Emodi knew coming into the season that he would carry a larger workload behind the dish and in the clubhouse. Emodi was thrust into a leadership role for this young group of Bluejays (24 fresh faces).
Emodi has not just started all but one game this season, that being the second half of a doubleheader on March 18, the Bluejays' cleanup hitter has played all but four innings. In the second half of the double dip on March 18, Emodi entered in the fourth inning. The other inning he missed came in the final frame of Creighton's 12-1 loss to UC Davis on March 26.
Shutout Streak Snapped at 84 Games
The Bluejays saw an impressive run of 84 consecutive game of scratching at least one run across snapped with a 4-0 loss to Winthrop on April 1. Prior to that contest, the last time Creighton was shutout in a game was during the 2015 season, a 4-0 loss to Nevada on May 9.
Finding a Lineup Has Been a Challenge
In the first 22 games this season, Creighton has used 20 unique lineups. The Bluejays have repeated two different lineups twice, using the same group of nine at Kansas (March 22) and in the opener with UC Davis (March 26) as well as in the first two games with Winthrop on March 31 and April 1.
