Women's Basketball Delivers Impressive Showing with 100-68 Win Over Nebraska-Kearney

Omaha, Neb. -- Led by a combined 44 points from seniors Audrey Faber and Brooke Kissinger the Creighton women's basketball team delivered a 100-68 win over Nebraska-Kearney in the Bluejays' lone exhibition contest.
The Bluejays came out firing early as Creighton hits 11 three-pointers in the opening half, including seven in the first quarter alone. Faber and Kissinger scored 22 alone in the opening frame to push Creighton out to a 34-21 following ten minutes on the court.
The second period saw the Bluejays turn up their defense, holding Nebraska-Kearney to four points as the Bluejays went into halftime up 58-25. In the second period Kissinger continued to first from long range as the Nebraska native scored another eight to push her first half total to 19 points
Creighton extended its lead to as much as 43 points at late in the fourth period at 98-55, before hitting the century mark with two free throws from sophomore Temi Carda in the closing moments.
In addition to Faber and Kissinger, four other Bluejays finished in double figures. Freshman Payton Brotzki paced the rest of the squad with 14 points, while junior Morgan Turner had 12 points, Carda finished with 11 and sophomore Tatum Rembao closed the contest with 10 points.
Creighton opens the regular season on Wednesday, Nov. 7 as the Bluejays host South Dakota at 6:00 pm.
