Agnew, Carda, Faber and Lamberty Earn All-BIG EAST Honors

Omaha, Neb. -- Four members of the Creighton women's basketball team were honored with a spot on the All-BIG EAST squads as the post-season awards were announced on Wednesday, Feb. 28.
Sophomore Jaylyn Agnew and junior Audrey Faber were each named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team, while senior Sydney Lamberty nabbed a spot on the All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention squad. Rounding out the quartet of Bluejays collecting honors was Temi Carda as she grabbed a spot on the All-BIG EAST Freshman Team.
The 2016-17 BIG EAST Freshman of the Year, Agnew doubled her scoring this season moving from 7.1 ppg last season to 14.2 ppg this year. Agnew enters the BIG EAST Tournament as the Bluejays second leading scorer with 397 points and is Creighton's leading rebounder (182).
Faber is the Bluejays leading scorer with 419 points (15.0 ppg), Audrey has led Creighton in scoring 12 times this season. She also ranks third in rebounds (114) and second in assists with 90.
The lone senior to gather recognition, Lamberty was the Bluejays most complete player in 2017-18. She is third on the squad in scoring with 325 points, leads Creighton in assists with 150 and is second in rebounding with 178 (6.4 rpg). Lamberty led the Bluejays with 1,074 minutes this season, an average of 38.4 per contest.
A two-time BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, Carda closed the regular-season with 198 points (7.1 ppg), 102 rebounds (3.6 rpg) and 34 assists.
Each of Creighton four all-conference will be honored before the Bluejays face St. John's in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Tournament on Sunday, March 3 at 2:30 pm.
