Rider, Pouliot Join Athletic Development Staff

OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton Athletics has announced the additions of Nelson Pouliot and Rachel Rider to the Athletic Development Office.

Pouliot joined the staff in July as the Associate Director of Athletic Development. He most recently served as the Director of the Phoenix Fund at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. In his role at Green Bay, Nelson oversaw a comprehensive annual giving program for Green Bay Athletics, coordinated donor events and worked to secure major gifts in benefit of the athletic department. Prior to his time at Green Bay, he was the Executive Director of the Golden Eagle Club at Oral Roberts University and also worked in the Oakland University athletic department as the Varsity O Coordinator. Pouliot received a master's degree from Oakland University and completed his undergraduate work at Olivet Nazarene University.

Rachel Rider joins the staff as the Associate Director of Athletic Donor Relations. Rider transitions to the position after serving as the Associate Director of Marketing and Events for Creighton Athletics since 2013. In that role, she oversaw and executed all donor and fan events and managed a portfolio of corporate sponsors and relationships with hotel partners amongst other duties. She received her bachelor's degree from Drake University and is currently working towards her master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Creighton.

In their new roles, Pouliot and Rider will assist Creighton Athletics by building relationships with supporters to increase investments towards athletic priorities supporting Bluejay student-athletes. Pouliot will specifically work with donors in the Omaha and Midwest region to secure annual Jaybacker and major gifts towards Creighton Athletics operating, capital and scholarship priorities while Rider will oversee the comprehensive donor relations program for the department.
