OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton women's tennis team will host the 2018 Bluejay Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Koch Family Outdoor Tennis Center.

The Bluejays welcome UNO, North Dakota, Milwaukee and Doane for the two-day event.

Two rounds of doubles and one round of singles will take place on Friday, starting at 1 p.m. The tournament will conclude on Saturday with one round of doubles and two rounds of singles, beginning at 9 a.m.

Creighton returns eight players from last spring's squad that ended the dual season at 15-8, which marks the most wins in a single season since 1993 when the team finished 17-9. The Bluejays also welcome three newcomers.

Ashley Ishimura highlights the returners after garnering All-BIG EAST Second Team honors after finishing the 2018 spring with a 15-5 singles record at the No. 1 position.
