FINALLY, the Sun Has Come Back To Omaha
The 2019 season has brought a unique wrinkle for most midwest teams have scrambled to rescheduled locations or
series entirely due to the weather.
The Bluejays and Terrapins series was no exception as Maryland was originally coming to Omaha this season, but frosty conditions forced the two teams to flop their home-and-home series.
In total the Bluejays altered 11 games already, cancelling seven games, postponing another and moving this series.
The good news is that the temperatures have been rising in Omaha, allowing the snow to melt and the field at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha is ready.
WHAT'S UP with the Bluejays (2019: 11-5, 0-0 BIG EAST)
With four consecutive victories and a chance to get into their home field, the Bluejays are beginning to take shape. The early portion of the season has been shouldered by the offense as Creighton enters the week hitting .280 as a team with 20 home runs and 65 extra-base hits. The Jays have also swiped 36 bases in 16 games.
Leading the way at the plate has been Creighton's designated hitter Jake Holton (.361) and leadoff man Isaac Collins (.324).
On the mound closer Bobby Kametas has been strong in eight appearances with a 2.16 ERA, while the starting trio of Mitch Ragan, Denson Hull and Evan Johnson has a combined ERA of 1.02 in 17.2 innings.
OH YOU DIDN'T KNOW - Series History: Creighton trails Nebraska, 91-47-2

A game-by-game account is on page 4.
Whassaaaaaap - Scouting the Huskers (2019: 11-7, 3-0 Big Ten)
Just as the Bluejays have gotten hot at the right time, so too have the Huskers. Nebraska has won five straight games and seven of their last eight, including a series win over #21 Baylor. Nebraska swept a weekend series from Michigan State to open Big Ten play. The Huskers face Creighton on Tuesday, before heading to Minnesota for another three-game set.
Nebraska is hitting .278 as a team, led by Spencer Schwellenbach with a .328 average at the plate. Two other Huskers are over .300 as Aaron Palensky and Mojo Hagge enter the game at .324 ane .314 respectively.
