Omaha, Neb. -- Playing its first home series of the 2019 season, the Creighton Baseball squad welcomes in their former Missouri Valley foe Illinois State for a three-game series.

Illinois State enters the weekend on a four-game losing streak, dropping a midweek battle with Milwaukee and suffering a sweep last weekend at Illinois.

Illinois State has sizzled at the plate this
season, coming to TD Ameritrade Park Omaha with a team average of .293. The duo of Ryan Hutchinson and Jordan Libman lead the way for the Redbirds, hitting .405 and .381 respectively.

On the mound, however, Illinois State has struggled. The Redbirds enter the weekend with a team ERA of 5.07. Closer Jacob Gilmore has been dominant with a 0.66 ERA and five saves in 13.2 innings.
