Women's Tennis Dominates Day One Of Home Bluejay Invitational

Bluejays finish with 19-1 record
OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton women's tennis team cruised to a dominate day one performance during the Bluejay Invitational at the Koch Family Tennis Center.
The Bluejays ended the day with a 19-1 record and advanced four doubles pairs to Saturday championship matches. Creighton finished a perfect 10-0 in first round singles action.
Sarah Wilcox and Kate Kruger lost only one game and advanced to the Flight A Doubles championship. Emma Genner and Gabby O'Conner earned of 6-0 victories to move into the Flight B Doubles final, while Erin Epperson and Meredith Benson also advanced to the Flight B championship.
Julia Aguirre and Juila King earned 6-2 and 6-3 wins and will play for the Flight C Doubles crown on Saturday.
The Bluejays dropped only to sets during singles action and both Epperson and Kendra Lavallee did not lose a single game.Â
Play resumes on Saturday at 9 a.m. with the final round of doubles and final two round of singles action.Â
