Senior Kristen Spolyar is the only Bulldog scoring in double figures leading the way averaging 18.6 ppg this season, while five other bulldogs average between 8.8 ppg and 6.3 ppg.
The Bulldogs calling card, however, has been its defense. Butler is allowing just 60.6 points per game and is forcing 18.5 turnovers per contest.
Â
Scouting Creighton (16-9, 8-6 BIG EAST)
In their 78-66 win over Seton Hall, the Bluejays rediscovered the grit and defensive intensity that brought Creighton success in the non-conference season. Making the effort more impressive was the Bluejays did so without the services of senior Olivia Elger, who was sidelined against the Pirates with a balky knee.
Picking up the slack was junior Tatum Rembao as the Colorado native topped 20 points for the second straight game, collecting the BIG EAST Player of the Week honor along the way.
Heading out on the road for the final time in the regular season, the Bluejays will need that grit against Butler. The Bulldogs are one of the more physical teams in the BIG EAST and will be motivated as Butler dropped consecutive games last weekend.
Keys To the Game on Sunday, Feb. 21st
First Meeting with the Bulldogs: Jan. 26, 2020
Butler 73, Creighton 67

The game turned Butler's way in the opening two minutes of the third as the Bulldogs turned three Creighton turnovers into an 8-0 run. Eventually Butler pushed its lead to double-digits at 53-43, but the Bluejays responded with seven straight. Moments later Spolyar was cited for an intentional foul on the offensive end. While the Bluejays were unable to connect from the free throw line, Creighton pulled within two at 67-65 with 2:37 left.
