Women's Tennis Extends Win Streak To Six With 6-1 Victory Over Providence

Bluejays have won eight of their last nine matches
The Bluejays improved to 10-4 overall and 2-1 against BIG EAST opponents.
Creighton sealed the doubles point with wins at the top two slots. Kate Krueger and Sarah Wilcox improved to 10-2 at the No. 1 doubles position with a 6-2 win against the Friars' top doubles pair. Emma Gener and Erin Epperson claimed a 6-0 victory at the No. 2 slot.
The Bluejays won in straight-sets at five of the six singles positions to take the overall dual. Krueger's 6-1, 6-2 win at the No. 1 singles position sealed the dual, while Wilcox, Gener, Epperson and Meredith Benson each earned straight-sets wins. Providence's lone victory in singles came in three-sets at the No. 6 spot.
"Today was another solid effort throughout the lineup," head coach Tom Lilly said. "We can certainly play better, but we got the job done in another conference match and it's been a good week with back-to-back BIG EAST wins. We will look to finish strong tomorrow."
Creighton ends its trip to Florida with a match on Thursday morning against Quincy.
