The Pirates opened the 2021 season with six victories in their first nine matches, including a 6-3 win over Iona on September 9 and a 2-1 win at Villanova to open BIG EAST action on Sept. 23.
Seton Hall, however, has dropped five consecutive matches by a combined score of 13-2.
Naomi Welch leads the Pirates with 11 points on four goals and three assists. Tied for the goal lead is Julia Aronov with four goals and one assist for nine points.
Grace Gordon has played every second in goal for the Pirates, allowing 21 goals in 14 matches. She enters the contest on Sunday with a 1.48 goals against average (GAA).
Scouting Creighton (6-7-2, 0-5-1 BIG EAST)
Similar to Seton Hall, the Bluejays blazed through the non-conference season with six wins and a draw in their first eight matches. Injuries, however, have decimated Creighton since its 3-0 win over Kansas City on September 12th.
After having a stretch of over 500 minutes without allowing a goal earlier this season, the Bluejay defense has surrendered two goals or more in each of the last three matches. Junior goalkeeper Keelan Terrell has six shutouts, and notched a career-high 11 saves against Connecticut in the last match.
Offensively sophomore Abigail Santana guides the Bluejay offense with a team best seven goals. Santana, however, has been limited to one goal and one assist on 10 shots in six BIG EAST matches.

Both Jordy and Hailey Rothwell have missed the last two games with injuries.
"I can't say enough about these young women, their desire to give all they have no matter what they are faced with and for me their character is winning, it shows daily," said head coach Ross Paule. "I am proud of my team, this is a team you want to be a part of and team I love coaching and a team I believe in."
Terrell Snags Career-High 11 Saves at Connecticut
Junior Keelan Terrell has been a rock for the Bluejay defense this season, but she took her to another level in the 3-2 (2ot) loss to Connecticut. Terrell closed the match with a career-high 11 saves, the first time a Bluejay netminder has posted double-digit saves since Katie Sullivan grabbed 13 in a 2-0 loss to Oklahoma State on September 14, 2018.
Over the Bluejays' last three matches Terrell has faced 58 combined shots, grabbing 24 saves and allowing seven goals.
Huskies Fired At Will, Blasting 26 Shots Toward Bluejays
Facing Connecticut for the first time in school history on Thursday, October 14, it's safe to say the Huskies were more than ready to fire shots. Connecticut closed the match with 26 shots, equalling the amount sent at the Bluejays in a 7-1 loss on October 4, 2016.
