"We deserved more today from this game with the excellent effort and some very quality play for long stretches that should have ended in goals. In the end, we played well enough to win against a very good team but we were not clinical enough. This is an area we must improve on and we will," said head coach Ross Paule. "I am so proud of our team for this full season. Not many know of the massive adversity we have had this season but our team responded the right way to it all with the right attitude and giving our best in a very difficult situation. We have an amazing culture within our team that has stood strong through adversity and very tough times. That is because of the amazing women here, they do thing right no matter what and do it all together."
"I know it will be hard for those outside the group to understand as they only see game results but our full team is special and in a very good place moving forward. I saw big growth as players, players step big up in new roles, saw huge growth as people and as a team, we progressed and are better. I am proud to coach this team and even more excited for what is ahead for us," added Paule. "Time to get healthy, reflect, adjust where needed and refocus on our vision and goals that we know are ahead."
