Men's Tennis Drops 4-0 Decision to Wichita State

OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton men's tennis team fell 0-4 to Wichita State on Friday afternoon at the Genesis Health Club in Wichita, Kansas.
The loss moves the Bluejays record to 1-4, while the Shockers improved to 5-2.
The Shockers started the day with a 6-1 win at the No. 2 doubles position before claiming the doubles point with a 6-2 win at the top doubles slot.
Creighton's Shin Inoue and Zach Maline held a 4-3 lead at the No. 3 double position before the top two slots had finished.
Wichita State wrapped up the overall dual win with straight-set victories at the No. 1, 2 and 4 positions.
"Wichita State came out firing on all cylinders and are a very strong squad," said graduate assistant coach Armando Gandini. "Our guys gave a solid effort but played a very good team who was on their game. We will regroup for tonight's match in senior Stratton Brown's hometown."
Creighton returns to the courts later tonight as they take on Kansas Wesleyan at 6:30 p.m. at the Genesis tennis courts in Salina, Kansas.
