MCALLEN, Texas -- Freshman Eleanor Hudepohl tied for third place to lead the Creighton women's golf team to a fifth place finish at the UTRGV Invitational in McAllen, Texas, on Tuesday.
Hudepohl topped the Bluejays with her third top-five finish as a Bluejay. The freshman fired rounds of 74, 76 and 76 for a 226 total. That landed her just two shots behind medalist Leighton Shoested (74-77-73=224) of Utah Valley

Rounding out the Bluejay lineup was Katie Allen, who completed circuits of 79, 87 and 77 to tie for 48th place.
The tournament included 16 teams and 79 golfers who competed on the McAllen Country Club Course, which measured 6,003 yards on the par 72 layout. CU's 932 total tied for fifth place with Incarnate Word. Houston Baptist and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi tied for first with a 920 aggregate, though HBU won in a playoff.
