Freshman Contribution
Freshman Savanna Solomon delivered in a big way on Sunday against Drake, netting the go-ahead goal and the first goal of her collegiate career.
Solomon headed in the goal from just outside the six-yard box on a cross into the box from senior Gabby Grimaldi.
The goal was the first Bluejay goal scored by a Creighton freshman since Hailey Rothwell netted the game-winning goal on a penalty kick in a 2-0 win over Seton Hall on Oct. 17, 2021. Solomon also became just the 24th true freshman to score a goal for the Bluejays since joining the BIG EAST in 2013.
