OMAHA, Neb. – Two members of the Creighton men's golf team have earned All-BIG EAST honors, the league announced on Monday. Senior Shaun Campbell was bestowed First Team All-BIG EAST accolades, while sophomore Grant Feldman earned Second Team All-BIG EAST acclaim.
Campbell earns First Team All-BIG EAST honors after leading Creighton with a 72.04 scoring average in nine events. He shot par or better in 14-of-27 rounds and finished in the Top 10 in six out of nine tournaments. The Tauranga, New Zealand native won the Throwdown Up Top at Landmand (Oct. 10-11) and was runner-up at the 2024 BIG EAST Championship, which earned him a spot on the All-BIG EAST Tournament Team, as well.
Feldman landed Second Team All-BIG EAST plaudits after posting a 72.11 scoring average, CU's fifth-best single-season mark in the last 20 years. The Austin, Texas, product fired par or better in 14-of-27 rounds, including a low of 66 (-5) at the Hawkeye Invitational (April 14). He shared BIG EAST Golfer of the Week on Sept. 20th and had a pair of top-three finishes in the fall.
Marquette junior Max Lyons was named BIG EAST Player of the Year and Connecticut freshman Bradley Sawka was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Year. The National Collegiate Rankings were used to determine the individual winners and an All-BIG EAST First Team and All-BIG EAST Second Team.
By a vote of the league's head coaches, the Seton Hall coaching staff was named BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year. The Pirates, who are led by head coach JT Harper, were the BIG EAST team champions at the recent BIG EAST Championship played at Riverton Pointe Golf and Country Club in Hardeeville, S.C.
Creighton finished the 2023-24 season last week in third place at the BIG EAST Championships, matching the program's best result at a league tournament since 2007.
