
Men’s Tennis Falls at #40 Nebraska, 4-0

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Creighton men's tennis team fell 4-0 against in-state rival Nebraska on Sunday afternoon at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center.
The loss dropped the Bluejays to 8-4 on the season, while Nebraska vaulted to 7-3 with the victory.
Anton Sheep and Lars Johann paired up to lead the charge for the Cornhuskers in doubles play. The duo, ranked 42nd in the nation, recorded a 6-1 victory at the top doubles spot, before Joan Torres and Calvin Mueller clinched the doubles point with an identical 6-1 win on the No. 2 doubles court.
Junior Yuma Daijima and senior Blake Eason led 5-2 on the No. 3 doubles court before their match went unfinished with Nebraska claiming the 1-0 advantage.
Nebraska carried their momentum into singles play, where they clinched wins at the No. 1, No. 4 and No. 5 singles position to secure the 4-0 victory.
Creighton will get some much need rest before returning to the courts on Tuesday, March 11, when they travel to California to take on Cal Poly at 2 p.m. Central.
