Schedule and Seeding Set For 2025 BIG EAST Softball Championship Presented by JEEP

NEW YORK – With an extra-innings victory on the final day of the regular season, St. John's earned the top seed in the 2025 BIG EAST Softball Championship Presented by JEEP, scheduled for May 7-10 at the Villanova Softball Complex.
Seeding was determined based on team winning percentage throughout the BIG EAST regular season. The Red Storm took the tournament's top spot with a 19-5 (.792) mark against league competitors.
UConn followed close behind, earning the two seed with an 18-6 (.750) regular season result.
The tournament host, Villanova, claimed the three seed (15-9, .625) ahead of Creighton in fourth (15-9, .625).
Butler secured the fifth seed (14-10, .583) while Providence grabbed the final Championship spot (.11-13, .458).
Action will begin on Wednesday at the Villanova Softball Complex with a 12 p.m. ET meeting between #4 Creighton and #5 Butler. The complete Championship schedule can be found below.
The first eight games will be streamed on the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN) on FloSports presented by InvescoQQQ. Friday's 6 p.m. contest will air on FS2. Saturday's first Championship game will air on FS1 with the if-necessary matchup returning to FS2.
