- Burica tossed 76.2 innings as a senior for the Lancers, setting the school record for innings pitched in a single season.
- Chris closed his senior campaign with a 9-1 record over 11 starts and also picked up two saves. He limited the opposition to just a 0.64 ERA, recording six complete games, and setting down 70 hitters on strikes in 2016.
- His efforts earned Burica the Trinity League Co-Pitcher of the Year as well as a First Team All-State selection.
- Burica was an All-Southern Section CIF First Team honoree as well as a Louisville Slugger Second Team All-American.
- Chris was selected by the San Diego Padres in the 40th round of the 2016 MLB draft.
