- Gerber was once again dominant in the back end of the bullpen for Creighton, collecting 11 saves in 32 appearances. He closed the season with 31 strikeouts and just 14 walks.
- David’s 20 career saves rank second all-time for the Bluejays, just four away from Steve Grasley’s record.
- In addition to grabbing saves, the sidewinding slinger
- collected four victories and closed the season with a 1.50 ERA
- over 36 innings.
- From March 12 - May 6, Gerber allowed just one run in 22.0
- innings of work. During that stretch he made 20 appearances,
- saving seven games and collected three of his four wins.
2015 (Sophomore at Creighton)
- David recorded a team-high nine saves in 25 appearances.
- He struck out 30 batters and walked eight while totaling a 1.69 ERA in 32 innings of work.
- Gerber pitched four scoreless innings and struck out three against Kansas State on March 11 for his first save of the season.
- David tossed 3.2 innings of scoreless relief during Creighton’s 14-inning victory against Air Force on March 25.
- Gerber did not allow an earned run during 11 consecutive
- appearances (14.2 innings from March 10 to April 4) while
- notching five saves.
- David recorded five strikeouts in two innings of work while earning his sixth save against Xavier on April 12.
- He went 2.2 innings vs. Butler (April 26) to earn his seventh save.
- David picked up his final save of the season with one inning of work against Seton Hall during the BIG EAST Tournament on May 21.
2014 (Freshman at Creighton)
- David made his debut with 0.2 innings of scoreless relief against Arkansas State on March 10.
2010-13 (Neuqua Valley School)
- David earned two letters in baseball and earned First Team All-DuPage Valley Conference as a junior as well as Second Team All-State. The highlight of Gerber’s high school career was a no-hitter on April 18 against Bartlett HS.
- During the 2012 season, Gerber posted an 8-0 record with two saves and a 1.21 ERA. He recorded 64 strikeouts in just 52 innings and delivered two one-hitters.
