- Jackson used his redshirt option during the 2018 season.

- Berney collected nine letters as a Duster, but none were in baseball as the school did not offer the sport. Instead he grabbed four in basketball, three in track and two in football.
- Despite not playing for his high school, Jackson played plenty of baseball in the fall for the Central Nebraska Stars and in the Summer for the Nebraska Sluggers.
