2008 (Redshirt Freshman): Was used primarily as a pitcher but can also be a corner infielder or outfielder ... Appeared in seven games on the mound, including three starts ... Started two games as the designated hitter ... Gave up one run in three innings at 2007 NCAA qualifier Memphis on March 5 for first career win ... Struggled with control, allowing 13 walks in 12.1 innings of work in 2008 ... Was 1-for-9 at the plate with two walks and four runs scored ... Scored each time he reached base during the season, including three times on March 1 at Tennessee-Martin ... Did not appear on the mound again after starting against Kansas State on March 26 ... Struck out in only at bat on April 27 vs. Evansville, his first plate appearance since April 5 at Bradley.
