Softball Cancels Entire SIU Series

OMAHA, Neb. - Creighton softball's entire home-opening three-game series with Southern Illinois has been cancelled due to unplayable field conditions. The games will not be made up.
Creighton, which has played its first 24 games of the 2011 season away from home, is 11-13 on the season and 2-1 in MVC play. That road run will continue into next week with a game Wednesday at No. 14 Nebraska (6 pm start), followed by a make-up doubleheader on Thursday at Iowa State (2 pm start).
Creighton's next scheduled home game is next Saturday (April 2nd), when Creighton hosts Bradley in a noon doubleheader to start a three-game series with the Braves.
