
Softball Honors 11 NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes

OMAHA, Neb. – The Creighton softball team had 11 players honored as 2024-25 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on Friday, Aug. 8.
The 11 Bluejays to earn the prestigious honor included: Ella Dalton, Lynn Davis, Annika Dugenske, Mazie Flud, Kenzie Nakasawa, Brooklyn Patchen, Erika Perez, Hannah Poole, Kenzie Schopfer, Sydra Seville and Elliot Smith.
Student-athletes who achieved a 3.5 or better GPA on a 4.0 scale were eligible for the individual honor. The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. Overall, 9,199 student-athletes (NCAA DI, DII, DIII, NAIA and JUCO) garnered Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2024-25 academic year, more than a 1,000 student-athlete increase from a year ago.
The Bluejays also earned a team academic award after accumulated a 3.40 GPA during the 2024-25 academic year with Perez, Poole and Schopfer earning 4.0 GPA's during the fall semester. Dalton and Seville claimed their third straight Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete award, while Davis, Patchen, Schopfer and Smith each earned their second consecutive honor. In addition, Dugenske, Flud, Nakasawa, Perez and Poole earned their first Scholar-Athlete award while at Creighton.
