
Englis' Goal Lifts White Over Blue In Men's Soccer Scrimmage

Omaha, Neb. - A first half goal from junior Myles Englis propelled the White squad to a 1-0 win in the Creighton men's soccer scrimmage on Friday, Aug. 14.
Englis' goal came in the 20th minute of play as fellow junior Fabian Herbers centered a ball into the box. One dribble after Englis grabbed possession, he beat senior Connor Sparrow from 12 yards away with a crossing shot from left to right.
The White team held possession for the majority of the contest as Herbers, senior Timo Pitter and sophomore Lucas Stauffer each led the attack with three shots.
The Blue team got two shots each from senior Vincent Keller and junior Stefan Wutte.
Creighton continues its exhibition season on Tuesday, Aug. 18 as the Bluejays travel to Illinois to face former Missouri Valley Conference foe Bradley at 7:00 pm.
