Omaha, Neb. -- The Creighton Baseball team looks to return to its winning ways this weekend as the Bluejays battle the BYU Cougars.

Scouting the Cougars (2016: 27-7, 10-5 West Coast)
BYU enters the weekend with one of the top offensives in the country. The Cougars' .331 team batting average ranked fourth in the nation through games played on
April 18. The Cougars also rank in the top-5 in runs scored with 8.8 per game.
Sophomore Colton Shaver leads the team with a .411 batting average, nine home runs and 45 RBI. Not far behind Shaver is junior Brennon Lund. Lund owns a .404 average and a team-leading 41 runs scored and 16 doubles.
Michael Rucker leads BYU's pitching staff. Rucker is a perfect 7-0 in 10 starts with a 2.55 ERA. He has also posted 61 strikeouts in 60 innings pitched. Overall, the Cougars boast a 3.63 team-ERA.
BYU opened the season 18-1 for its best start in school history, including 12 consecutive wins from Feb. 27-March 18.
Bullpen Delivering Time & Time Again
The Creighton bullpen continued its dominance with a stellar performance on Tuesday night against Arkansas. Five pitchers combined to allow one run over 4.2 innings and gave the Bluejay's offense an opportunity to chip away at the lead.
The bullpen's performance was not enough for a victory as the Razorbacks defeated the Bluejays 6-2 and snapped Creighton's five-game win streak.
Fowler Enjoying His Clean-Up Role
Senior Reagan Fowler recorded his team-leading seventh multi-RBI game of the season with a two RBI performance on Tuesday against the Razorbacks.
Fowler doubled to left-center field during the sixth inning to drive in Daniel Woodrow and Nicky Lopez for Creighton's only runs of the game. The senior leads the team with 24 RBI.
