Baseball Opens Three-Game Set at Minnesota on Friday

Omaha, Neb. -- Following the first midweek game of the season, the Creighton Baseball squad returns to the normal weekend rotation with a three-game set against Minnesota. The series will be played indoors at US Bank Stadium.

Bluejays vs. Minnesota Series
Minnesota leads Creighton 24-20 in head-to-head play.
The Bluejays last met the Golden Gophers was in an early season series in Fort Myers, Florida in the 2014 campaign. Creighton bounced back after losing the first game to record 11-4, 8-0 victories to win the series.
Scouting the Bluejays (2018: 6-4, 0-0 BIG EAST)
Creighton ended their road trip to Arkansas on winning terms after beating Arkansas-Pine Bluff 10-6 on Tuesday afternoon.
At the plate, Clark Brinkman continues to lead the team (.400), while Michael Emodi (.357) came on strong with three home runs in Arkansas. Emodi leads the team in RBI with 17 to his name, while senior Blake Whitecotton delivered four hits over the last two contests.
Tapani looks to continue to add to his 2-0 start to the season. His 1.80 ERA is the
lowest amongst the Bluejay starters and is projected to get the start on Friday against the Golden Gophers.
