Women's Basketball Faces Nebraska on Sunday in Lincoln

Omaha, Neb. -- With both the Bluejays and the Huskers hoping to return to the NCAA Tournament, both reached 'the Dance' at the end of the 2017-18 season, Creighton and Nebraska face off in Lincoln on Sunday. The Bluejays have won the last three meetings, including a 74-65 win at D.J. Sokol Arena last season.

Series with Nebraska: Creighton Trails 30-14
While Creighton trails the overall series with the Huskers, 30-14, the Bluejays have won the last three meetings. The three-game winning streak is the Bluejays longest in the 44 game series with the Huskers. Creighton is 2-22 against Nebraska in Lincoln, claiming the battle in 2018 and in 1993.

The Huskers enter the intrastate battle with the Bluejays sporting an unblemished record, claiming four home wins as well as an overtime victory at Missouri. Nebraska was specifically impressive on Wednesday night as the Huskers took down Southern 73-39.
A deep squad, Nebraska has played nine members of its squad at least 11.2 minutes per game this season. The Huskers' leading scorer is reserve Leigha Brown with 78 points (15.6 ppg).

Jim Flanery and Nebraska head coach Amy Williams have faced off during each of the past seven seasons, with Flanery getting the best of the exchanges, 5-2. Williams, however, led her squad to victories in both WNIT matchups. Williams was the coach at South Dakota for four seasons (12-13 to 15-16) before taking the reins of the Huskers three seasons ago.

Bluejays Have Taken First Three Quarters From Summit League
Four of Creighton's non-conference opponents during the 2019-20 season are from the Summit League. The Bluejays defeated Nebraska-Omaha 67-54 to open the season, then bested South Dakota State 61-48 in the second game of the year. Creighton's third victory came on Monday 70-59 over North Dakota State. The final game against a Summit League team comes on Dec. 4th at South Dakota.
Agnew and Rembao go 20-20 in Win Over Bison
Senior Jaylyn Agnew and junior Tatum Rembao combined for 47 points (25 by Agnew and 22 from Rembao) in Creighton's 70-59 win over North Dakota State on Nov. 18th. It was the first time a pair of Bluejays posted at least 20 points in one game since Audrey Faber (30) and Olivia Elger (20) did so against #13 Florida State on Dec. 21, 2017, a span of 57 games.
Three Have Eclipsed 20, Four on the Roster
In the first four games of the 2019-20 season, three different Bluejays have topped the 20-point plateau. Agnew and Rembao did so against North Dakota State, while junior Temi Carda finished with 25 in Creighton's victory over UNO on Nov. 5th. The other Bluejay to top the 20-point mark is senior Olivia Elger, who did so against South Dakota State on
Dec. 15, 2017 and in the following game versus #13 Florida State on Dec. 21, 2017.
Dworak Proving Her Worth Off the Bench
Over her first 21 games as a Bluejay, sophomore Chloe Dworak delivered 36 points and saw 158 minutes of action. In four games this season the Lincoln native has 21 points and is shooting a blistering 70% (7-of-10) from the field.Â
