
Women's Tennis Remains Unbeaten At Home With 6-1 Win Against Northern Colorado

The Bluejays improved to 7-4 overall and 6-0 at home.
Creighton started the day with wins at the top two doubles positions to earn the first point. Sarah Wilcox and Kate Krueger combined for a 6-1 win the top spot, while Emma Gener and Gabby O'Connor won 6-3 at the No. 2 slot.
The Bluejays earned five straight-sets singles victories. Erin Epperson dropped only three games at No. 4 and Krueger claimed her sixth victory at the No. 1 position before Meredith Benson clinched the overall dual with a tiebreaker win in the second set at No. 6. Wilcox (No. 2) and O'Connor (No. 5) also earned straight-set singles wins.
"We played a good match today," head coach Tom Lilly said. "Everyone was focused and ready for the challenges that arose and I like how we are competing as a team and playing for each other. Now we will take a week to prepare for outdoor tennis in Florida."
Creighton starts play in Orlando on March 9 against Sioux Falls for the first of four matches in four days at the USTA Tennis Center.
