Bluejay Women's Soccer Drops 1-0 Contest at Tulsa

Tulsa, Okla. -- The Creighton women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 match at Tulsa on Thursday, Aug. 26.
The loss moved the Bluejays to 2-1-0 on the season, while Tulsa climbed to 1-2-0.
Throughout the first half the two teams played evenly on the pitch with Tulsa holding a slim 6-5 edge in shots at the break. Following halftime though, Creighton was clearly the more aggressive team. The Bluejays created seven shots before Tulsa managed its first of the second frame.
Holding a 15-7 shot advantage late in the contest, the Golden Hurricane sent a ball along the left side of the field to Jadyn Chee. Beating Bluejay defender Peighton Steffen to the corner, Chee curled towards the middle of the field and fired a shots into the back of the net with in the 87th minute of play (86:40).
Neither team managed a shot the rest of the way.
In the match the Bluejays out shot Tulsa 15-8 and held a 5-1 edge in corners.
Creighton continues its two-match road trip to Oklahoma on Sunday as the Bluejays face Oral Roberts at 1:30 pm.
