Baseball Returns to the Road as Bluejays Begin Three-Game Series at Charleston Southern

Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton Baseball continues its non-conference schedule as the Bluejays play a three-game set at Charleston Southern this weekend. Creighton is 9-2 this season away from home, after taking 2-of-3 last weekend at Stanford.

The Bluejays continue to find ways to win as Creighton is off to its best start since 2000, taking 2-of-3 at Stanford last weekend.
As a team the Bluejays are hitting .308, led individually Nolan Sailors with an average of .360 and Colby Canales at .342.
On the bump the Bluejays have a team ERA of 4.36, led by an impressive 2.40 ERA from staff ace Dominic Cancellieri and a 1.96 ERA from Sunday starter Jack Pineau.

At 17-4 Creighton is off to its best start under head coach Ed Servais (2004-present). The closest season was in 2006 when the Bluejays were 16-4, including a 15-game win streak. The last time Creighton got off to a better start in 21 games was in 2000. That season the Bluejays started 18-3 under Jack Dahm.
