2019-22 (College of Wooster)
- In his senior season with the Fighting Scots, Gbur proved his ability as a five-tool player. He earned an ABCA Gold Glove award in the outfield and First Team ABCA All-America honors.
- Gbur broke program records as the first player to tally 80+ hits and 80+ runs in a single season, clubbed 15 home runs and stole 24 bags in 2022.
- In the Fighting Scots’ Super Regional 2022 season, Ben led the North Coast Athletic Conference in hits (83), runs (83), doubles (22), home runs (15), and total bases (156), hitting a career high .367 with 40 total extra-base hits.
- A two-way player at Wooster, Gbur notched five saves and 32 strikeouts in 34 innings of work in 2022, both starting four games and closing for the Fighting Scots.
- Ben consistently improved at Wooster; hitting .308 in 35 games as a
freshman, .333 in the COVID-shortened 2020 season, and .324 as a junior, leading his team in five major offensive categories in 2021.
- Gbur won four consecutive district championships with the Panthers.
- Ben was named the Ohio Capital Conference Player of the Year after his 2018 senior campaign.
- He earned all-district recognition for his performance as a junior and senior.
- Ben’s hobbies include basketball, frisbee golf and golf.
- His hidden talent is being extremely skilled in the Rock Band games.
